It’s a coastal town with direct access to saltwater diving along nearby beaches and barrier reefs, and a handful of local dive centers or shops typically offering instruction, equipment rental, and boat trips to nearby sites. Given small local infrastructure (low dive center density) and modest site count, diving here is practical for warm water outings, shore dives from town beaches, and day trips to regional reefs when conditions permit. Freshwater options are limited locally; for true diving regions, divers often travel to more developed Florida dive hubs further south or to the Keys for more consistent site variety.
