While it’s not a remote dive hub, it serves as a practical gateway to the Southern California dive scene, including wrecks, kelp forests, and nearshore reefs reachable by day trips from the city. Local dive centers offer courses, equipment rental, and regular boat dives from multiple docks along the coast. Water conditions are typically temperate with good visibility, pelagic sightings, and abundant marine life such as leopard sharks and garibaldi at certain sites. Note that the associated freshwater Lambourn River element nearby is not a diving site.
