Carmel Meadows is a coastal area in California near the Pacific Ocean. It isn’t a major diving hub itself, but the wider region along California’s coast offers access to famous dive sites and centers within a short drive. Local diving activity is typically organized through nearby coastal towns and service providers along the coast, with conditions influenced by Pacific currents and seasonal visibility. Given the limited number of centers in the immediate vicinity, divers commonly base themselves in nearby coastal communities to access shore dives, charter boats, and training opportunities. For freshwater diving, options are not local to Carmel Meadows and would require travel to inland quarry or lake sites further inland in California.
