Nerja

Nerja is a coastal town on the southern coast of Spain, in Andalusia. It sits along the Alboran Sea and serves as a gateway for divers visiting the nearby dive sites along the Malaga coastline. While Nerja itself isn’t a major dive center, it provides access to a range of coastal reefs, caverns, and wreck dives reachable by boat from nearby ports. A handful of local dive centers operate in the broader region, offering courses, equipment rental, and day trips. The freshwater note in the area is the Monachil River, which is not a diving site, but can be of interest for outdoor and canyoning activities in the regional landscape.
