Pyeonghae Eup

Pyeonghae-eup is a small coastal town in the north-eastern part of South Korea, sitting on the edge of the Japan Sea/East Sea. It’s not a major diving hub, and there are only a few local dive sites within reach. Expect modest visibility, typical temperate coastal waters, and a shoreline environment with local seafood and fishing activity. With limited dive centers nearby, it’s more of a gateway point for regional diving exploration along the coast than a destination in itself. Freshwater options are not part of the local dive scene here, and most diving in the wider region is accessed from larger port towns along the coast.
