Jung Dong

Jung-dong is a neighborhood district in Busan, South Korea. Busan is a coastal city on the southeastern tip of the Korean Peninsula and serves as a gateway for divers exploring the South Korea coast. There are limited local dive sites within Jung-dong itself, and the city’s strength as a diving hub comes from Busan’s broader access to domestic and regional dive centers and the nearby East Sea (Sea of Japan) coast. For divers, the closest practical options involve day trips from Busan to closer dive sites along the southern coast or organized courses at local centers. The area is more notable for urban culture and port activity than for on-site diving within Jung-dong, but it provides convenient access to the region’s shallow reefs, wrecks, and kelp forests a short drive away.
