Free State

The Free State is a highland inland province of South Africa with limited, if any, scuba diving activity. It is not a coastal or marine region, and most diving opportunities would be restricted to artificial environments or specialized training centers within the province. When present, diving interest centers on inland water activities near larger municipalities, with few natural saltwater dive prospects. Expect dry, temperate conditions and limited access to open-water dive sites in this administrative region.
