Portorož / Portorose

Portorož is a coastal town on Slovenia’s Adriatic coast, serving as a small dive gateway for the country. You can access nearby dive sites with a short drive or boat trips from the coastal area, including sheltered bays and rocky reefs typical of the Adriatic. There are a couple of local dive centers that offer beginner through advanced courses, equipment rental, and guided dives. Visibility and conditions are generally good in summer, with marine life such as small fish, crustaceans, and seagrass beds typical of the northern Adriatic. For broader diving, trips to nearby sites along the Slovenian and Croatian coast can be arranged through regional operators. The town itself is more about easy access to shore and boat dives than a major deep-dive destination.
