La Digue

La Digue is an administrative region in Seychelles known for its relaxed island atmosphere and small-scale coastal diving. The region’s dive scene centers on sheltered lagoons, fringing reefs, and easy access from the main village. Expect warm tropical waters, clear viz, and a mix of reef and macro dives around the island’s fringing reefs and shallow sites near beaches and boats. Marine life commonly includes tropical reef fish, hawksbill and green turtles, and occasional reef residents; stronger currents and deeper sites are less common here, making it suitable for beginner to intermediate divers and shallow-water explorations.
