Antique

The Antique region in the Philippines sits on the western side of Panay Island, facing the Sulu Sea. Diving within this administrative territory is modest in scale, with access mainly from local coastal towns. The area is characterized by warm tropical waters with generally calm conditions and clear visibility near shore, offering opportunities to explore shallow reefs and small reefs near Culasi and nearby areas. Marine life includes common Indo-Pacific fish species typical of low-relief reefs, with occasional larger pelagics visible from time to time. Because this is an administrative region with limited dive infrastructure, most significant diving activity tends to be centered in nearby provinces with established centers and sites. The surrounding waters are part of the Sulu Sea ecosystem and contribute to the broader regional biodiversity.
