Malay is a coastal town in Aklan Province on Panay Island, near Boracay. It serves as an access point to the Sulu Sea and nearby dive sites, with several local dive centers offering boat dives to reef habitats and wrecks in the wider area. The town itself isn’t a large dive hub, but divers pass through for access to the surrounding marine resources and to reach Boracay and other nearby destinations. Expect warm tropical waters, typical Indo-Pacific reef life, and seas that can be calm to moderately active depending on the season. Marine conditions and biodiversity vary by site; common species include colorful reef fish, small pelagics, and occasional larger inhabitants at certain sites.
