South Thiladhunmathi

South Thiladhunmathi is a large administrative region in the northern Maldives, bordered by the Laccadive Sea to the west and open Indian Ocean waters to the north. Diving in this area centers on the atolls of the region and the local island hubs, with re breeding atoll walls, vibrant reef systems and a range of drift dives. Access is typically by boat from Kulhudhuffushi or nearby atolls; expect clear tropical waters, mild to warm year-round conditions, and abundant reef life including reef sharks, Napoleon wrasse, schooling fish, and macro critters around channels and bommies. The region hosts a mix of shore and boat dives, with multiple dive centers offering local excursions to nearby sites.
