Mathiveri is a small island in the Maldives within the Laccadive Sea, part of the Alifu Alifu Atoll. It’s a modest gateway to Maldives diving, with limited local dive infrastructure noted here (a couple of centers nearby but no dive sites listed on record). The Maldives is renowned for clear warm water and abundant reef ecosystems, but on Mathiveri specifically, diving activity is more prominent at the atoll’s other sites and at neighboring resorts. If you’re visiting, expect relaxing island life and potential day trips or boat access to nearby reefs and walls around the atoll cluster, contingent on boat availability and local permits.
