Semporna in Sabah offers gateway diving to world-class reefs and macro-rich habitats in the Celebes Sea. The region centers on coastal towns with easy access to protected bays, drift dives, and seagrass beds, plus iconic macro life and pelagics typical of tropical Malaysian offshore sites. Access is via Tawau or Sulu Sea routes, with boat-based diving common from Semporna towns to nearby sites. In general, visibility is variable with warm tropical conditions and calm to moderate sea states.
