Nago

Nago is a coastal city in Okinawa Prefecture, northern Okinawa Island. It sits along the East China Sea and serves as a gateway for local dive centers offering access to nearby reefs and reefs along the northern Okinawa coast. With two active dive centers nearby, divers typically base themselves for day trips to local sites, including shallow reefs and coastal walls. The city itself is more known for its culture, beaches, and access to Okinawa’s marine playgrounds than for its own indigenous diving sites, so most diving activity is site-based around the surrounding coastline rather than within the urban core.
