Meran Merano

Meran (Merano) is a town in northern Italy, close to the Adige River valley. It is not a coastal diving hub and has no local saltwater dive sites. The surrounding region offers freshwater options further afield, such as quarry or lake dives, but these are outside the city and primarily serve training or recreational dives for visiting divers. If you’re based here, you’ll likely use Meran as a gateway to northern Italy’s alpine landscapes and to access drives toward nearby freshwater dive sites or as a base while exploring South Tyrol.
