Spotorno

Spotorno in Liguria sits along the Italian Riviera with access to Ligurian Sea shore diving nearby and as a gateway for boat trips to surrounding coastlines. The town itself is more of a coastal resort than a dive center hub, but several local dive centers operate along the coast offering courses, equipment rental, and day dives to nearby reefs and walls. Notable nearby freshwater diving is limited; Banyoles Lake is a freshwater site elsewhere in Spain and not local to Spotorno. For divers, this city works best as a coastal base with easy access to short boat dives, wrecks and colorful rocky reefs along the Ligurian coast, plus shore diving opportunities along the promenade if weather allows.
