Konkan Division

The Konkan Division on the west coast of India features coastal diving along the Arabian Sea, centered around routes in and around the state of Maharashtra. The region’s diving is characterized by shallow coastal reefs, sandy bottoms, and rocky ledges accessible from local towns such as Malvan. Conditions are tropical to warm with monsoon-season variability; visibility can be moderate and currents generally gentle near shore. The primary dive hubs are coastal towns and fishing ports with limited, if any, major dive centers in this administrative region, so most diving is tied to individual centers and nearby attractions within the broader Konkan coast.
