Saint Tropez

Saint-Tropez is a coastal town on the French Riviera and a well-known gateway for Mediterranean diving. While it’s not a dedicated dive hub, its proximity to the Toulon and Cannes dive scenes means accessible day trips to nearby reefs, walls, and wrecks along the western Mediterranean. Local dive centers offer introductions, fun dives, and certifications, with water typically warm in summer and cooler in winter, good visibility, and marine life typical of the Western Mediterranean. For freshwater options, the area is inland enough that primary diving activity is saltwater coastal diving and offshore sites reached by boat from the coast.
