Algajola

Algajola is a small coastal town on Corsica's northwest coast facing the Mediterranean. It serves as a gateway for local shore diving and nearby boat trips to coastal reefs and wrecks along the Corsican shelf. With +a dozen dive sites in the wider area and a single local dive center, divers typically base here for day trips and easy access to the Corsican dive scene. Conditions are generally warm, clear, and calm in summer with typical Mediterranean marine life—grouper, wrasse, dorsals, and occasional schools of fish, depending on the site. For more variety, many divers explore the surrounding Calvi and Île-Rousse areas, where shore and boat dives are more frequent.
