Phuket Province

Phuket Province sits on the southwest coast of Thailand, covering the island of Phuket and its surrounding districts. The region is a well‑established tropical diving area with warm waters, generally good visibility, and a mix of shore and boat access to multiple dive sites. Notable areas include the Phuket Outer and Phi Phi channels, with protected bays in Phang Nga nearby. Typical dives feature coral gardens, reef walls, and abundant reef fish; occasional larger species may be seen on deeper or drift dives. Access is via Phuket Town and the international airport, with numerous dive centres concentrated around Patong, Kata/Kata Beach, and Chalong. The provincial network includes popular sub-districts such as Mueang Phuket District and Kathu District as sea-access gateways to island and nearshore sites. This region is beginner‑friendly in sheltered sites, while more experienced divers can explore deeper walls and drift dives with local operators.
