Röd

Röd is a coastal locality in western Sweden within Västra Götalands län. It lies along the Skagerrak coast, part of the North Atlantic marine region, and serves as a gateway access point to nearby dive sites along Sweden’s west coast. With several nearby dive sites and a handful of centers in the broader region, diving here is practical for local day trips or as a base for coastal exploration. Conditions are typical of the Swedish west coast: cooler temperate waters, visibility that varies with currents, and abundant marine life including common coastal species. For divers, it’s a stepping-stone location rather than a major international dive hub, often used by local divers for shore entries, boat access to nearby reefs and wrecks, and training runs with nearby clubs.
