Lapu-Lapu (on Mactan Island, near Cebu) is a practical gateway for scuba diving in Central Visayas. From here, divers commonly join day trips to nearby sites around Mactan and the Cebu region, where visibility is often good in calmer weather and conditions can vary with the seasons and currents.
