Arnhem is a major inland city in the Netherlands, located along the Rhine and close to varied freshwater diving options. While the city itself isn’t a coastal dive hub, nearby waterways and the Dommel river offer opportunities for controlled freshwater diving or training with local centers. There are a handful of dive centers in or near Arnhem that focus on courses, gear rental, and access to nearby lakes and quarries in the region. For divers, Arnhem serves as a convenient gateway to broader Dutch diving locales—especially inland training sites and short trips to fresh- or brackish-water dive sites in the Gelderland area.
