Dhigurah

Dhigurah (on the eastern side of South Ari Atoll) is a small Maldivian island that’s popular with divers as a laid-back base for liveaboard and day trips. Most diving is done from the island or boats heading to nearby South Ari / Ari Atoll sites in the Laccadive Sea. Expect clear, warm tropical saltwater and a lot of pelagic activity depending on the season and site choice. Many divers come for the chance of manta rays and other reef and channel species, plus the variety of shallow reefs and deeper drop-offs typical of the Maldives’ atoll geology. On a practical level, plan your dives around boat schedules and local briefing—conditions and current can vary notably between sites.
