Trencabraços

Trencabraços is a local Mediterranean dive site near the Costa Brava, typically accessed from l'Escala and nearby towns. The site features a gentle slope and rocky spurlines that create small shelves, suitable for easy entry and relaxed dives. Depths are shallow to moderate, with most dives staying within recreational limits. Common Western Mediterranean species such as groupers, wrasse, octopus, moray eels and various nudibranchs may be observed, along with posidonia meadows in bottom habitats. The site is often used for training and shore dives by nearby dive centers, and conditions are best in calm weather with good visibility. Access is straightforward from coastal towns like l'Escala, Sant Pere Pescador, and Torroella de Montgrí, all within a short drive.
