Torii Beach Eda Sango
Torii Beach Eda Sango is a shoreline dive site on Okinawa Island that features shallow, easy access from the beach and a gently sloping seabed. The site is known for calm conditions in good weather, making it suitable for beginner and recreational divers. Expect sandy patches with occasional rocky outcrops and coastal patches of seagrass, supporting a variety of small reef fish, blennies and gobies. Visibility can vary with tides and wind, typically ranging from fair to good in clear conditions. Entry is a straightforward shore entry, with a gentle descent to a maximum depth typical of nearshore sites. The nearby port of Kadena, and towns like Chatan and Yomitan, provide nearby facilities and access points for divers planning a local morning dive before or after beach time. This site is best visited with a local dive center for up-to-date conditions and any current advisories.
