Strijenhaven
Strijenhaven is a local coastal dive site near Strijen in the southwestern Netherlands. Access is straightforward from nearby towns, with shallow entry and calm conditions typical of the region’s protected coastal waters. The site offers a gentle underwater topography, where divers can explore sandy areas and small rocky outcrops at shallow to moderate depths. Expect moderate visibility and a calm environment suitable for beginner to intermediate divers, with standard Western Dutch marine life such as wrasse, blennies, gobies, and small flatfish common to these waters. The site is commonly visited from Poortvliet and Tholen, both within a few kilometers, and is often used as a relaxed training or drift-free dive in good weather. Bring a surface marker buoy and be mindful of local boat traffic along the coast.
