Scharendijke Kabbelaar is a local shore dive site along the Zeeland coast. Positioned near the town of Scharendijke, it offers straightforward access from the sandy shoreline with a shallow entry and calm typically temperate North Sea conditions. The dive features a mainly sandy bottom with small ridges and patches of seagrass, providing a relaxed swim-through environment suitable for beginner to intermediate divers. Expect typical North Sea fauna such as flatfish, schools of small fry, hermit crabs, and blennies around the sandy flats and any nearby rocky outcrops. Visibility can vary but is often moderate; current is usually light to none in calm weather. As a local site, it serves well for practice dives, easy snorkeling routes between centers or during short day trips, and can be combined with a visit to nearby towns like Brouwershaven and Renesse.
