Sassi Rossi

Sassi Rossi is a coastal site near Bagnaia and Rio Marina on the Italian island of Elba. The site comprises a series of rocky shelves and boulder fields that slope gradually with depth, typically starting around a few meters and deepening toward the drop-off. Access is straightforward from the nearby towns with sheltered entry points and relatively calm conditions on shore. Divers commonly explore the rocky tops and small crevices, where typical Mediterranean species such as wrasse, damselfish, octopus, and colorful inconspicuous invertebrates may be observed. The site is suitable for recreational divers, with shallower sections offering easy navigation and opportunities for relaxed drift along the coast in favorable conditions.
