Rempart Bartelmy

Rempart Bartelmy is a local shore dive site off the west coast, near the coastal towns of Flic en Flac, Tamarin and Bambous, Mauritius. The site lies in shallow to moderate depths with typical tropical reef-topography: sandy patches, small coral outcrops and sheltered ledges that attract a variety of reef fishes. Access is straightforward from nearby beaches, with calmer conditions on calmer afternoons. Expect clear turquoise water, moderate current at times, and viz often ranging in the teens to low twenties meters. Common species include wrasses, parrotfish, damselfish, nudibranchs and occasional small sharks or rays in the sand patches. This site suits beginner to intermediate divers, with easy entry and a relaxed drift possible along the shoreline.
