Punta Delle Cannelle

Punta delle Cannelle is a coastal dive site near the town of Rio nell’Elba on Elba Island. The site typically features a sloping sandy-to-rocky bottom with modest depth ranges typical of shallow Mediterranean dives. It offers straightforward entry from the beach and a sheltered environment suitable for beginner to intermediate divers. Expect clear water and reed-like seagrass meadows in the shallows, with common Western Mediterranean species such as groupers, damselfish, octopus and moray eels in nearby rocky breaks. The area forms part of the island’s gentle underwater topography and is often visited for easy, relaxed dives close to the shore. Nearby towns Rio nell’Elba, Rio Marina and Porto Azzurro provide access and support from local dive centers.
