Porto Dell’acquasanta

Porto dell’Acquasanta is a small coastal site near Palermo, Sicily. Located on the northern coast, this local dive spot features a shallow to mid-depth profile typical of Mediterranean rocky shores. Access is straightforward from the nearby towns, and conditions are generally calm in good weather with moderate visibility. The site is commonly used for wall and reef dives along a rocky seabed, with opportunities to explore crevices and small overhangs. Typical Mediterranean fauna in the area includes groupers, moray eels, octopus, and a variety of wrasses and damselfish around rocky outcrops and posidonia meadows a short distance off the coast. The site offers a relaxed environment suitable for beginner to intermediate divers and for practice in buoyancy, navigation, and safety stops.
