Pointe Carangue

Pointe Carangue is a Caribbean dive site located near Bouillante on Guadeloupe. The site features a shallow to mid-depth sloping reef with scattered coral heads and rock formations that create gentle swim-throughs and several small ledges. Access is straightforward from nearby coastal shores, and water conditions are typically calm in stable trades, with visibility commonly ranging from 15 to 25 meters. Expect a mix of reef fauna common to Western Atlantic/Caribbean reefs, including parrotfish, tangs, snappers, grouper, reef octopus, and reef-dwelling wrasses; occasional sightings of barracuda and moray eels are possible. The site is suitable for recreational divers and is often used for training due to its sheltered profile and easy entry. Local currents are usually mild but can develop with tidal changes.
