Antibes
Piton
Piton is a local dive site near Antibes on the French Riviera. It is accessed from the coast with straightforward entry, featuring a sloping rocky bottom that drops gradually to about 20–25 metres in typical conditions. The site lies in a mixed coastal environment with clear Mediterranean water and generally calm seas, making it suitable for recreational divers and those building deep-water experience. Expect a mix of rocky outcrops and patches of seagrass, with common Western Mediterranean species such as groupers, moray eels, including octopus and spiny lobsters, plus a variety of small reef fish. Visibility is often good in stable weather, though currents can occur with tides or wind. The nearby towns of Antibes, Vallauris and Cannes provide access points and services for divers. Local centers offer boat departures and guided dives of similar coastal sites along the Côte d’Azur.
