Palancar Gardens

Palancar Gardens is a shallow reef site located off Cozumel, known for its colourful coral gardens and diverse reef fish. The site features a gentle sloping topography with a mix of hard corals and incomplete walls, typically ranging from a few metres down to around 12–18 metres. Entry and exit are straightforward from the reef line, with calm conditions common in good weather. Divers often see parrotfish, angelfish, snappers, and colorful damselfish, with occasional rays or nurse sharks in deeper channels. The site is suitable for beginners and for drift-diving practice in light currents near the reef edge.
