Navy Reef

Navy Reef is a coastal Sri Lankan dive site near Trincomalee. It features a gently sloping reef top with healthy hard corals and a variety of reef fish typical of the Palk Strait region. Expect mild to moderate currents and clear tropical water conditions, making it accessible to experienced open-water divers and trained newcomers alike. The site generally offers good underwater visibility and a relaxed drift potential along the reef edge, with opportunities to see parrotfish, angelfish, fusiliers, and occasional wrasse. Access is straightforward from local boats, with nearby towns providing additional facilities and dive centres for equipment rental and guided dives.
