Michelin Mishiragi

Michelin Mishiragi is a coastal dive site near Yomitan, Onna and Kadena on Okinawa. It is a shallow-to-moderate depth site typical of the Ryukyu limestone shelf, featuring a sloping reef backdrop with opportunities to explore small coral formations and rocky ledges. Access is by boat from the western coast; currents can vary with tides, so planning for drift awareness is advised. The site commonly hosts a range of reef species typical for Okinawa, including damselfishes, parrotfishes, wrasses and occasional groupers, with roaming moray eels and nudibranchs on the seabed. The underwater topography includes gentle slopes, couple of small bommies and crevices suitable for macro life viewing, as well as open water for more relaxed drift dives. Overall the site suits beginner to intermediate divers looking for a straightforward Okinawan reef experience close to popular resort areas.
