Les Jumeaux

Les jumeaux is a coastal dive site near Moorea, typically accessed from the nearby towns of Pihaena, Papetō’ai, and Moorea-Maiao. The site features a pair of rocky pinnacles and adjacent reef structures that create a gentle to intermediate drift along the outer reef. Depths are generally shallow to moderate, making it suitable for intermediate and more confident beginner divers depending on conditions. Expect clear tropical water with steady visibility, and a mix of reef dwellers common to the region, such as damselfish, wrasses, parrotfish, and occasional larger reef fish around the pinnacles. Entry is from a calm surface, with a basic downline or anchor approach when accessible. Local currents can vary, so plan for a safety stop and situational awareness, especially if the drift is stronger on the open side of the reef. The site is commonly used by local dive centers operating around Moorea and nearby islands, providing guided dives and shore access where permitted.
