Le Souffleur

Le Souffleur is a drift dive along the island’s rocky coast near Saint-Leu, typically accessed from the shore or a small local boat. The site features a long, gently sloping wall and a channel that can offer a light current, making it suitable for experienced yet comfortable drift dives with good visibility and a steady marine backdrop. Expect clear tropical water, with common western Indian Ocean species such as reef fish, parrotfish, and wrasses, plus chances to see larger pelagics during favorable conditions. Entry is usually from a sandy or rocky seabed with a quick descent to mid- depth zones, and ascent is straightforward along the exit point. As a coastal site, conditions are influenced by tides and wind; plan for a drift-friendly dive with a conservative profile.
