Layer Cake, Carriacou
Layer Cake is a reef structure off Carriacou that forms a shallow, gently sloping topography suitable for relaxed dives. The site typically ranges from a few meters to around 12–15 meters, with a sandy rubble bottom transitioning to coral outcrops. Expect modest currents at times and good visibility on most days. The reef hosts a mix of hard corals, small reef fish, damselfish, parrotfish, and occasional juvenile snapper. Access from the surface is straightforward, with a simple entry from the shoreline or a short boat ride, depending on conditions. This site is well-suited to recreational divers seeking a calm, visually appealing dive with a variety of coral formations and easy navigation.
