Kats
Lange Pier
Lange Pier is a coastal dive site near the small town of Kats and the surrounding Scheldt estuary region. The site lies in shallow to moderate depths and features a pier structure that provides shelter for a variety of common estuarine species. Entry is straightforward from the pier area, with conditions typically calm near slack water and visibility varying with tides. Divers may encounter shoals of small reef fish and crustaceans around the pilings, with the opportunity to explore man-made habitats created by the pier. This site is suitable for entry-level to intermediate divers, depending on current and water conditions, and is often used for drift or macro-style dives around the pilings. Nearby towns of Wilhelminadorp and Wolphaartsdijk provide useful access bases and services.
