La Vallée Aux Rougets

La vallée aux Rougets is a shallow coastal site suitable for friendly, on-site discovery dives. Located near Punaʻauiʻa in a sheltered bay, it features gentle topography with sandy patches and occasional rocky outcrops. Depths commonly range from a few metres to around 12 metres, making it accessible for beginners and for practice on buoyancy and basic skills. The site sees typical Western Pacific reef-associated life, including small wrasses, parrotfish, damselfish, and invertebrates like shrimps and crabs, with clearer water and steady conditions on calm days. Access is straightforward from nearby shore entries, and local dive centers in the area can provide guided dives and equipment support.
