La Caye

La Caye is a local dive site near Bouillante on Guadeloupe’s west coast. The site comprises a gentle reef setting with sloping coral gardens and scattered lava formations that create subtle shelves from about 6 to 20 meters. Access is straightforward from the boat or shore, depending on conditions, and sheltered bays nearby help keep the water reasonably calm. The dive typically features healthy hard corals, reef fish, and occasional moray eels along the drop-offs. It is suitable for recreational divers with basic buoyancy control and a relaxed current, making it a good option for a relaxed half‑day dive close to Bouillante and the nearby towns of Pointe-Noire and Vieux-Habitants.
