Baan Wang Ta Kien
Haad Gruad Reef
Haad Gruad Reef is a shallow, coastal reef site typical of tropical shallows. Entry is straightforward from the shoreline with a gentle slope and plenty of structure formed by coral heads and a mix of hard corals. Depths usually range from a few metres to around 12–15 metres, making it suitable for entry-level divers and snorkeling too. Expect clear, warm water with moderate visibility and a calm environment on calm days. The reef supports a range of common tropical species such as small reef fish, damselfish, wrasse, parrotfish, and occasional moray eels; the abundance and variety reflect a healthy, typical Indo-Pacific reef system. The site is close to local villages, with nearby dive centers offering guided dives and shore access.
