Gorgon 1 is a shallow to moderate-depth reef site off Aqaba. The dive typically features a sandy bottom and coral cover with a gentle slope leading to a vertical drop near the reef edge. Visibility is often good in calm conditions, and the site is well-suited for recreational divers practicing buoyancy and basic navigation. Expect a variety of Western Red Sea reef life such as small reef fish, damselfish, and various wrasse, with occasional visitors like snappers and moray eels along the structured outer reef.
