Black Rock is a shallow coastal site near Al Yamānīyah, typically visited from nearby shore access. The site profiles a dark, rocky outcrop with often calm conditions and gentle currents suitable for entry-level divers. Expect clearer Caribbean-like turbidity from coastal waters, with a simple topography of rocky shelves and occasional small ledges. Marine life commonly includes wrasses, butterflyfish, damsels, and perched invertebrates around the rock, with better chances of seeing octopus near crevices. Access is straightforward for trained divers and snorkeling alike, with local dive centers usually offering guided trips in modest sea states. The site’s proximity to Tala Bay and Askān al Mīnā’ makes it a convenient option for a short half-day dive when weather is calm.
