Belmont

Dry Rock, Carriacou

Dry Rock is a well-known reef site off Carriacou in Grenada, offering challenging drift conditions and vibrant hard corals. Located in the lee of Grenada in the Southern Caribbean, the site typically features a sloping reef face to depths around 18–25 metres, with occasional deeper sections for experienced divers. Strong currents push along the ridge, making finning efficient and rewarding for those comfortable with drift dives. Expect a lively marine community including schools of snapper and grunts, colorful damselfish, and roaming groupers, with overhangs and small swim-throughs to explore along the reef crest. Access is via boat from the Carriacou coastline; surface conditions can vary with tradewinds, so plan for a short boat ride and a stable descent when conditions allow. Local dive centers provide guidance on current strength and entry technique to maximize safety and enjoyment.
