Cross Over

Cross Over is a local dive site near Bouillante, Guadeloupe, positioned along the western coast where calm conditions and easy access suit beginners and refresher divers. The site features typical Caribbean fringing reef topography with shallow to mid-depth profiles and straightforward entry from shore or a short dinghy ride. Expect gently sloping reef with patchy coral cover, jungle-tinged gullies on deeper sections, and open-water moments between shallow reef drops. Common Caribbean species such as parrotfishes, angelfish, surgeonfish, and morays may be seen around sponges and bommies. Visibility varies with weather, and currents are usually mild, best during slack water. The area is popular for shore dives and short boat trips from Bouillante, with multiple nearby dive centers that can tailor outings to conditions.
