Cova Del Dolfí

Cova Del Dolfí is a shallow coastal cave dive site near l'Escala in the Costa Brava. Access is typically from the rocky shore with a slow descent into a cavemouth that opens into a sheltered cavity. Depths are generally gentle, making it suitable for entry-level to intermediate divers with basic buoyancy control. The cave features internal rock columns and dim light that fosters a quiet, exploratory feeling while remaining straightforward to navigate with natural daylight near the entrance. On the surrounding reef and rocky slopes, common Western Mediterranean species such as groupers, moray eels, octopus, and wrasse are often encountered, along with the typical Posidonia meadows visible from the shallower sections.
